Privacy Policy

ContextSave is a Chrome extension and web app that lets you save your AI chatbot conversations to your own private account, then summarize, search, organize, and export them. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Account email — used to create and sign you into your account (via email/password or Google sign-in).
• Conversations you choose to save — when you click Save on a supported AI site (ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Kimi), we store that conversation's content, its source URL, and the title, tags, and summaries generated from it. We only capture a conversation when you explicitly save it. We do not track your browsing.
• Preferences — settings such as summary length and reminders.

Your AI provider key (BYOK)

ContextSave runs AI features on your own AI provider key (Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Anthropic, or OpenAI). Your key is stored only in your browser's local extension storage. It is never saved on our servers and never written to our logs. When a summary or memory question runs, your key is sent once, over HTTPS, to your chosen AI provider for that request, and then discarded.

How we use your data

• To provide the service: saving, summarizing, searching, organizing, and exporting your conversations.
• To authenticate you and keep your data private to your account.

We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. We do not use your data for advertising, credit, or any purpose unrelated to providing ContextSave.

Who we share it with

• Your chosen AI provider — conversation text you summarize or query is sent to the AI provider whose key you connected, only to generate that result, under their terms.
• Supabase — our hosting and database provider, which stores your account data on our behalf as a processor.

Storage, security, and retention

Your data is stored in our Supabase database, isolated to your account with row-level security so other users cannot access it. Access requires your authenticated session. We keep your saved data until you delete it or close your account.

Your choices

• Export all of your data at any time from the extension dashboard.
• Delete individual conversations, or request deletion of your entire account.
• Remove your AI provider key from your browser at any time in Account settings.

Children

ContextSave is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
